BreastScreen Van
Free BreastScreen Van at Marrickville Metro
The BreastScreen service is returning its free mobile van to Marrickville from 14 July to 29 August 2008.
The van will be in Smidmore Street, outside Marrickville Metro Shopping Centre from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. No doctor’s referral is needed to attend this life saving service.
The service especially invites women aged 50 to 69 to have a free breast x-ray every two years for the early detection of breast cancer.
To make an appointment, women can call 13 20 50. You can also ask a friend or family member to book an appointment for you, or call 13 14 50 for telephone interpreter assistance. Appointments via the internet can be made at www.sydneycancer.com.au.
