An inspirational Starlight story
Dylan was born with a condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa which causes a progressive deterioration of sight. However at the age of 10, Dylan has completed his very first children's book called "Xbox goes crazy" which was officially launched earlier this year at the Shoal Bay Resort & Spa, Port Stephens.
Dylan is a creative writer and dreams of becoming a well known children’s author one day. Sadly, Dylan’s sight has degenerated, however this has not stopped his ambition to achieve this life-long dream. In order to help Dylan’s dream come true, Starlight equipped him with a brand new laptop computer and software as part of his Starlight Wish. Dylan has already commenced his second book with this new laptop. The Shoal Bay Resort & Spa hosted a red carpet event for the official book launch which gave Dylan a taste of stardom.
"Dylan's book launch party was a once in a life time experience, we are so grateful to Starlight for everything they have done and for making Dylan's special. We all really enjoyed it and were extremely proud of Dylan’s day so him" said Debra Dylan's mum.
"Thank you to starlight for such a great day! It was so cool that I got to show off my book to my friends and family and I got to ride in a limo" says Dylan.
